He said: 'I am my own man…we're very different. It's an easy descriptor and I get it. It's natural, I've had enough of it now cos I'm my own man and I'm not doing what Stuart did.'

Meanwhile, news of Stuart's secret family comes as a huge shock as he has maintained a low profile since his split from the Oscar winning beauty.

While Stuart has carved out a career for himself in the US, he never reached the lofty heights of his Oscar winning ex.

He left the cast of Kenneth Branagh's blockbuster Thor because of so-called 'creative differences'.

It was his second big-budget movie setback, after being dumped from the career-defining role of Aragorn in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy in favour of Viggo Mortensen.

He was most recently cast in the second season of Salem, as Samuel Wainwright, an English doctor who is determined to uncover Salem’s secrets.

Theron announced she had adopted a son, Jackson, in March 2012.

She is now dating Sean Penn and recently told the Daily Mail: 'I was happy when I met Sean and I think that's why he fell in love with me -- because I was happy and fulfilled and had a healthy dose of love for myself -- and he's the same. He doesn't fill a hole in me and I don't fill a hole in him.'
